Arknights: Endfield Typhoeus Guide & Pull Advice
Arknights: Endfield Version 1.5 introduces the new 6-star Operator Typhoeus.
As a Nature Striker Main DPS, Typhoeus stands out with her unique Hovering combat style. Her Battle Skill sends her into the air, allowing her to attack multiple enemies while avoiding many ground-based attacks.
This guide covers her role, skills, rotation, best teams, signature weapon, and pull value, helping you decide whether Typhoeus is worth spending your resources on during the Winter Hunt banner.

|
Best For |
Long fights, high-pressure content, multi-target encounters |
|
Main Weakness |
Relies heavily on teammates who can consistently apply Nature Infliction |
Important: Hovering does not make Typhoeus invincible.
Hovering lets her avoid many ground-based attacks, but full-screen attacks, lasers, aerial hits, and other attacks that can reach airborne targets will still damage her.
2. Typhoeus Skill Breakdown
1. Normal Attack – Wildlands Huntress
Typhoeus performs up to five Basic Attack sequences, dealing Nature DMG.
Performing a Finisher deals heavy Nature DMG and restores SP, helping her cycle back into her Battle Skill faster.
Her Basic Attacks mainly fill downtime. Most of her damage revolves around her Battle Skill and core resources.
2. Battle Skill – Piercing Arrows of the Woods
Piercing Arrows of the Woods is the centerpiece of Typhoeus's kit.
After casting it, Typhoeus jumps into Hovering and can unleash multiple Aerial Basic Attacks, targeting up to two enemies.
The skill has two key functions:
- Consume Nature Infliction on enemies to gain additional Signs
- Consume Hunting Arrows to deal additional Nature Burst DMG
This means Typhoeus's most important fuel is:
Nature Infliction applied by her teammates.
Without a reliable Nature applicator, her Signs → Hunting Arrows → Nature Burst loop becomes slower and her overall damage drops noticeably.
Combat Tip:
Use Hovering to avoid ground AOEs, shockwaves, and other ground-based attacks while continuing to deal damage.
3. Combo Skill – Rampant Thorns
Once Typhoeus reaches maximum Signs, she can trigger her Combo Skill.
Rampant Thorns converts her Signs into Hunting Arrows and creates a Barrage Array that deals continuous Nature DMG and Slows enemies within its AOE.
Enemies inside also take increased Nature Burst DMG, creating Typhoeus's main burst window.
In simple terms:
The first Battle Skill builds resources; the next one cashes them in for burst damage.
4. Ultimate – Call of Ice Mountain
Call of Ice Mountain fires an Imbued Arrow that explodes for massive AOE Nature DMG before immediately putting Typhoeus into Hovering.
Her next aerial attacks trigger additional Hail of Arrows damage, making the Ultimate ideal for a fully prepared burst window.
3. Best Typhoeus Teams
1. Premium Nature Team
Typhoeus + Gilberta + Arcane (WILL Form) + Liino
This setup focuses on a smooth Nature damage rotation with strong utility and sustain.
Gilberta provides Nature Infliction, crowd control, and useful Arts support to set up Typhoeus's damage windows.
Arcane (WILL Form) offers strong utility and can help maintain Arts Inflictions while improving the team's setup.
Liino covers sustain while providing ATK and Nature Amp, making Typhoeus's burst windows much stronger.
Typhoeus takes the Main DPS slot and converts all that setup into sustained aerial damage and Nature Burst DMG.
Reliable Nature Infliction, strong buffs, good sustain, and a smooth overall rotation.
2. Budget / F2P-Friendly Team
Typhoeus + Purrchena + Perlica + Xaihi
Don't have a full premium Nature roster? Typhoeus can still work in a lower-cost setup.
Purrchena helps provide Nature Infliction while adding defensive utility and sustain.
Perlica offers accessible offensive utility and helps improve the team's overall damage.
Xaihi provides additional sustain and support, making the team safer in longer fights.
The ceiling is lower than a premium Nature team, but it is much easier to build and still lets Typhoeus run her core rotation comfortably.
Team Rule: Always bring a reliable source of Nature Infliction.
For Typhoeus, Nature Infliction is her fuel.
She can still function without it, but her Signs and Hunting Arrow rotation becomes noticeably slower.
4. Should You Pull Typhoeus?
|
Player Type |
Recommendation |
Why? |
|
Already own Gilberta, Arcane, Liino, or other key Nature units |
Recommended; consider her signature weapon |
She slots naturally into an established Nature roster and greatly improves its Main DPS ceiling. |
|
New player lacking a strong Main DPS |
P0 is enough; don't rush Potentials or signature weapon |
Hovering makes her comfortable for progression, but she still wants a reliable Nature Infliction teammate. |
|
Love Typhoeus, greatbows, or aerial combat |
Pull the P0 copy |
Her hovering greatbow gameplay is one of the most distinctive playstyles in Endfield. |
|
Low on resources with established DPS teams |
Safe to skip |
Typhoeus is not a completely universal DPS and offers less value if you do not plan to build around Nature. |
|
Almost no Nature units built |
Wait for post-release testing |
Building Typhoeus plus an entire Nature team can become expensive very quickly. |
Pull Priority
For most players, the safer investment order is:
P0 Typhoeus > Key Teammates / Team Completion > Signature Weapon > Extra Potentials
If you plan to spend extra, check whether your account actually needs Typhoeus, her signature weapon, or another Nature teammate before using Endfield top up . Set a pull limit first and budget your resources around the biggest upgrade instead of chasing the character, weapon, and Potentials all at once.
Final Thoughts
Typhoeus stands out thanks to her Hovering + Nature Infliction + Signs + Hunting Arrows gameplay loop.
Her Battle Skill lets her take to the air and keep attacking while avoiding many ground-based threats, giving her a unique mix of offense and survivability.
Her biggest limitation is just as clear:
Typhoeus strongly prefers a complete Nature setup with reliable Nature Infliction.
If you already own key Nature operators such as Gilberta, Arcane, or Liino, Typhoeus can be a major upgrade to your roster.
If your Nature roster is almost empty, there is no need to force the pull just because she is a new 6-star DPS. Waiting for post-release testing is the safer choice.
If you simply love her greatbow and aerial combat style, though, Typhoeus is an easy character to get excited about.

FAQ
Q1: Is Typhoeus invincible while Hovering?
No.
Hovering allows Typhoeus to avoid many ground-based attacks and AOEs, letting her maintain damage during situations where grounded operators may need to dodge.
Full-screen attacks, lasers, and attacks that can hit airborne targets will still damage her.
Hovering improves her damage uptime — it is not an invincibility button.
Q2: Can Typhoeus work without Gilberta, Arcane, or Liino?
Yes.
What Typhoeus really needs is a reliable source of Nature Infliction, not one specific premium operator.
Operators such as Purrchena can help support her core rotation in lower-cost teams.
The important distinction is:
A team being viable is not the same as it being her highest-damage team.
Budget teams can still function well, but premium supports will generally offer better damage, rotation speed, and comfort.
Q3: How strong is Typhoeus compared with other Main DPS operators?
It is still too early to lock her into a strict T0 or T1 ranking.
Her kit clearly positions her as a high-ceiling Nature Main DPS with strong multi-target damage and excellent damage uptime through Hovering.
The trade-off is that her performance depends more heavily on Nature Infliction and team synergy than some more self-sufficient DPS operators.
For now, the safest assessment is:
A high-potential Nature Main DPS with excellent value inside her best teams, but less universal than completely self-sufficient carries.
Her final tier placement will be clearer after Version 1.5 launches and full endgame testing becomes available.
