What Are Frost Stars, Really?

A lot of Chiefs assume Frost Stars are a premium in-game currency. They are not. Frost Stars are a token sold on Century Games' own web store, and their only purpose is buying packs on that store. Century Games describes them as arcade tokens, which is the clearest way to think about it: you buy tokens, then you spend the tokens on the thing you actually wanted.

The rate is fixed and deliberately simple: 1 Frost Star is 1 US cent, so 999 Frost Stars buys a $9.99 pack. Once you buy on the web store, the Frost Stars arrive by in-game mail, and they are issued to whichever character was logged in at the time. They cannot be moved to another character, even on the same account.
