Roblox promo codes used to be one of the easiest ways to claim free avatar items. Enter a short code on the official page, get a cosmetic. That still works — but there is almost nothing left to enter.
As of August 2026 there is exactly one working site-wide promo code, and Roblox has not released a new one since late 2024. This guide covers what actually works, where to enter it, why the system went quiet, and where free items genuinely come from now.
Working Roblox Promo Codes Right Now
Yes, that is the entire list
SPIDERCOLA has been the only active site-wide Roblox promo code for well over a year. Every other code you find published as "working" — TWEETROBLOX, FREENGNBOI, FREENGNGON and the rest — is expired.
If a page shows you twenty active Roblox promo codes, it has not checked them. That is worth knowing before you spend twenty minutes typing dead codes into a form.
How to Redeem Roblox Promo Codes
Roblox has two different redemption pages, and using the wrong one is a common reason a valid code appears not to work:
roblox.com/promocodes — for promo codes like SPIDERCOLA. This is the one you want.
roblox.com/redeem — for gift cards only. Promo codes entered here will be rejected.
To redeem a promo code:
Go to the official Roblox promo code page.
Log in to your Roblox account.
Type the code in capital letters. Roblox promo codes are case-sensitive — SPIDERCOLA works, spidercola does not.
Click Redeem. A green confirmation message means it worked.
Open your avatar editor and equip the item from your inventory.
If a code still fails, work through this in order: it has expired, you have already redeemed it on this account, the capitalisation is wrong, or it belongs inside a specific experience rather than on the account-level page. Switching between mobile and desktop occasionally resolves stubborn redemption errors too.
Never enter a Roblox code on a third-party site. Redemption only ever happens on roblox.com, and no legitimate code requires your password, an email verification code, a download, or a survey.
Why Roblox Promo Codes Basically Stopped
If you remember Roblox promo codes being a regular thing and cannot work out why every list you find is dead, here is the actual explanation. Roblox did not remove the system — it stopped using it.
Site-wide promo codes were mostly brand tie-ins: a retailer partnership, a social milestone, a product collaboration. Look at the expired list further down and the pattern is obvious — Amazon, Target, Carrefour, Kroger, Walmart, Mercado Libre. That entire model has been replaced.
Free items now arrive through branded experiences you play, platform events, and free items in the Avatar Shop. The last new site-wide promo code appeared in late 2024, and nothing has replaced it since.
Codes did not die — they moved
Individual Roblox games still hand out codes constantly. Popular experiences release new ones with almost every update. Those are experience codes, entered inside that specific game rather than on your account page, and they are where nearly all Roblox code activity now happens. If you searched "Roblox codes" hoping for game rewards, you probably want codes for the specific game you play, not site-wide promo codes.
In-Game Codes: Island of Move and Mansion of Wonder
These two Roblox experiences have their own redemption booths, separate from the account-level promo code page. They were never site-wide codes, which is why entering them at roblox.com/promocodes has never worked.
Status is genuinely unclear. Code trackers currently disagree on whether these still redeem — some list them as active, others have removed them entirely. They cost nothing to try, so they are worth a few minutes if you want the cosmetics, but treat them as "possibly working" rather than guaranteed.
Island of Move
Search for Island of Move, enter the experience, walk forward and interact with the PLAY IT! prompt, then choose Redeem Code.
Mansion of Wonder
Search for Build It, Play It: Mansion of Wonder, enter the experience, walk forward and interact with the Swag Booth, then choose Redeem Code.
These give avatar cosmetics only. Neither experience has ever given Robux.
Expired Roblox Promo Codes
Every code below is dead. They keep circulating in YouTube titles, TikTok clips and old blog posts because republishing an expired list costs nothing and still attracts clicks.
Notice the dates baked into these codes. If a page presents 2021 and 2022 codes as "new Roblox promo codes for 2026," it has copied an old list without checking a single one.
Free Robux Codes Do Not Exist
This needs to be stated plainly, because "free Robux" is the single most targeted search in the entire Roblox ecosystem, and almost everything ranking for it is a scam.
Roblox has never issued a public promo code that grants Robux. Legitimate promo codes give avatar items — accessories, hats, bundles, cosmetics. Nothing else. There is no generator, no exploit, no hidden code list.
A real code never asks for any of this

Handing over a verification code is how accounts get stolen, and it is worth being especially careful because these scams are aimed heavily at younger players. If a site is not roblox.com, it should never receive your login details — no matter what it promises.
Two habits worth building: turn on two-step verification in your Roblox account settings, and check the publish or update date on any code list before trusting it.
Where Free Roblox Items Actually Come From Now
With one promo code left, these routes matter far more:
Free items in the Avatar Shop. The most reliable source by a wide margin. Open the Avatar Shop, search the category you want, and filter by price to show free items only. Claim, then equip from your avatar editor.
Platform events. Roblox runs large seasonal events several times a year, each handing out multiple exclusive items for completing objectives across participating experiences. These have effectively replaced promo codes.
Branded experiences. Where the retailer partnerships went. Instead of a code for a Target hat, there is now a Target experience you play to earn it.
Codes for the specific games you play. Individual experiences release codes constantly, usually alongside updates. Search the game name plus "codes" rather than looking for site-wide ones.
Prime Gaming is worth mentioning only to rule it out: Roblox rewards through Prime Gaming have not been active since the Flaming Hot Chip Head expired in January 2024, and nothing has replaced them.
If You Need Robux
Promo codes give cosmetics, not currency. Game Passes, private servers, limited marketplace items and most avatar purchases all run on Robux, and there is no free route to it.
Work through the free options first — claim SPIDERCOLA, browse the Avatar Shop's free section, and take part in whatever platform event is currently running. Between them they cover a lot of ground without spending anything.
