ZZZ Cissia Ultimate DEF Reduction Team Guide: Combat Synergy with Qingyi and NicoleZZZ Cissia Ultimate DEF Reduction Team Guide: Combat Synergy with Qingyi and Nicole

Core Stat Logic: Constructing the 93% DEF Reduction Multiplier
In the game's damage calculation formula, "DEF Reduction" and "DEF Ignore" follow an additive principle and possess a reverse dilution characteristic (meaning the higher the stacked value, the greater the actual yield multiplier). This squad composition capitalizes precisely on this mechanic:
Cissia's Core Passive: Through
Core Passive: Fatal Concoction, she can provide the squad with up to 25% DEF Ignore.
Signature W-Engine Bonus: When equipped with her signature W-Engine,
Serpentine Seeker, its Bioengineered Venom effect grants an additional 28% DEF Ignore.
Nicole's DEF Shred: Nicole's
Core Passive: Mechanical Case reduces the target's DEF by 40% when she launches skills like her
EX Special Attack.
Stacking these three effects brings the squad's DEF Reduction/Ignore multiplier to a staggering 93%. This extreme defense shredding allows Cissia to deal explosive damage without relying on the traditional dual-Attack synergy.
Role Positioning and Mechanical Synergy
In conventional team-building logic, Cissia is usually paired with
Seed as a dual-core setup. However, in a single-core DEF reduction system, veteran Agents from the game's launch can still offer immense tactical value:
Qingyi's Dual-Utility Support: Although classified as a Stun character, Qingyi hides excellent stats that allow her to both support and deal damage. Her Additional Ability: Three Verses of Farewell at Yang Pass can convert Impact into up to 600 ATK, while her
Core Passive: Eternal Seasons provides the squad with a massive 80% Stun DMG Multiplier. This perfectly fills the single-core squad's need for burst damage during the Stun phase.
Same-Attribute Synergy Yield: Because there are two
Electric characters in the squad (
Cissia and
Qingyi), the Daze inflicted by Cissia's Corrode Bone receives a massive 60% increase, further accelerating the enemy's Stun buildup.
Drive Discs and W-Engine Build Recommendations
For a squad heavily focused on a single-core DPS, equipment choices must be adjusted based on practical combat buff uptime:
Drive Disc Selection:
Top Choice: The 4-piece
Dawn's Bloom set is highly recommended. Since
Basic Attack damage accounts for a very high percentage of the output in a single-core squad, this set provides the most stable Basic Attack buffs.
Alternatives: If you are confident in your mechanical fluidity, the 4-piece
Hormone Punk set is a viable option. Additionally, regarding squad synergy, if Nicole is equipped with
Moonlight Lullaby, Cissia can consider using
Astral Voice to optimize buff coverage.
Main Stat Priorities: Partition 4 should be CRIT DMG, and Partition 5 should be Electric DMG Bonus. When facing high-difficulty bosses, Partition 6 can be swapped to ATK%, and the CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG ratio on Partition 4 should be balanced according to the equipped W-Engine.
W-Engine Selection:
Best in Slot: The signature W-Engine, Serpentine Seeker.
Alternative Options (Energy Regen Sub-stats): Limited S-Rank W-Engines like
Bellicose Blaze,
Severed Innocence, or
Cordis Germina, as well as the A-Rank
Drill Rig - Red Axis, are solid choices. Weapons with Energy Regen sub-stats help Cissia reach the energy threshold faster, allowing her to enjoy the nearly 25% DEF reduction yield from her Core Passive.
F2P Alternative: If none of the above are available, a refinement level 5
The Brimstone, which provides pure ATK stat bonuses, is also an excellent option.
Practical Combat Rotation and Quick-Swap Execution
The combat logic of this squad inherits the classic quick-swap system of Qingyi and
Nicole. The specific steps are as follows:
Outside the Stun Window:
Qingyi stays on-field to accumulate Daze, parry enemy attacks, and build up the squad's Decibel Rating.
Pre-Stun Setup: Right before the enemy is about to be stunned, switch to
Nicole to apply buffs, then cast her
EX Special Attack: Stuffed Sugarcoated Bullet to apply the 40% DEF reduction.
Stun Burst Phase (Quick-Swap Combo):
Trigger
Cissia's
Chain Attack.
Manually cancel the recovery animation of the
Chain Attack, allowing
Cissia to immediately cast her
EX Special Attack and hold Basic Attack for the downward smash.
Simultaneously, utilize the quick-swap mechanic to bring
Nicole in to cast her
EX Special Attack.
The heavy hit detection of
Nicole's attack can trigger another
Chain Attack, at which point you connect into
Cissia's
Chain Attack once more.
Before the DEF reduction effect of
Nicole's energy field expires, have
Cissia cast her
Ultimate to finish the combo.
By weaving Chain Attacks and
EX Special Attacks right before the burst, you only need to accumulate around 2000 Decibels during the non-Stun phase to initiate the complete burst rotation.
Squad Expandability
Cissia's team-building capabilities are highly accommodating. Aside from the team introduced in this guide and the standard Seed dual-core squad, pairing her with
Dialyn or the Electric Stunner
Trigger also yields exceptional results. Notably, Trigger's signature equipment also features a DEF reduction multiplier, synergizing perfectly with Cissia's mechanics and further expanding the squad-building horizons for high-level accounts.
