Empire Stars vs Gems: What's the Difference?

This trips up a lot of new Lords, because in most strategy games Gems are what you pay for. Not in Lordrush. Gems are earned by playing — quests, events, alliance activity, chests — and work like any other resource. You spend them on speed-ups, recruitment and day-to-day upkeep. What you cannot do is buy anything from the store with them.

Empire Stars are the premium currency — the real-money balance used in the official store, and the only thing gift packs, Monthly Cards, hero content, skins and seasonal bundles are priced in. The math is simple: 1 Empire Star equals 1 US cent, so $1 gets you 100 Stars and $4.99 gets you 499.
