📍 Location: Where to Find Reactor Husk

  • Region: Lahai-Roi.
  • Specific Area: Exospine Barrows (southeast of the Spacetrek Collective).

  • How to get there: There are no Waypoints directly next to the boss. The best route is to teleport to the Stricken Sanctum domain and travel along the road towards the Exospine Barrows.

💎 Drops & Rewards

  • Ascension Material: Undying Verdict (Essential for new characters).
  • Echo: Reactor Husk.
  • Standard Rewards: Advanced Resonance Potion, Energy Core, Sealed Tube, Shell Credits, and Intimacy.

🎯 Key Mechanic: Left Arm Weakness

Veteran players have noticed a specific structural weakness:

  • The Weak Point: After the boss attacks for a period, a Small HP Bar will appear on its Left Arm.
  • Strategy: Focus your attacks on the Left Arm. Depleting this HP bar will momentarily paralyze the Reactor Husk, creating a massive window for damage output.

⚔️ Core Mechanic: Cinder Cut (The Deflect)

The Cinder Cut is the boss's signature move and your main opportunity to deal damage via mechanics.

  • The Animation: The Reactor Husk will run to the other side of the arena (or retreat), ignite flames in its hands, and swing its arms 3 times, launching 3 waves of claw marks. It finishes by leaping into the air and landing with a cross-slash (6 claw marks).
  • How to Counter: This is a Deflectable Ranged Attack. When the claw marks fly towards you, use your Basic Attack to hit them. Successfully striking the claws will deflect them back at the boss, dealing heavy damage and shredding its shield.

🛡️ Attack Patterns & Counters

The Reactor Husk combines brute force with AoE fire damage.

1. Arm Sweep + Flame Impact

  • The Move: Often follows the Cinder Cut. The boss rushes at you, swings both arms upward (releasing claw marks), and leaves burning trails on the ground. These trails then erupt in pillars of fire.
  • Counter: Do not just dodge backward. Dash towards the boss's back or flank it. Avoid standing on the glowing ground trails.

2. Pounce Attack (Leaping Headbutt)

  • The Move: When you are at a distance, the boss will jump back slightly before pouncing on you, performing 2 consecutive headbutt slams.
  • Counter: Keep your distance and dodge sideways as it lands.

3. Bladed Quad-Slash & Explosion

  • The Move: Blades extend from its arms. It slashes 3 times, then jumps and stabs the blades into the ground, triggering a massive AoE fire explosion centered on itself.
  • Counter: Dodge the first 3 physical hits. For the final jump, sprint away immediately to outrun the explosion radius.

4. Uppercut & Horizontal Slash

  • The Move: An upward blade slash that launches the boss into the air, followed by a wide horizontal slash as it descends.
  • Counter: Wait for the jump, then dodge the landing slash.

5. Double Swing & Slap

  • The Move: Two wide arm swings followed by a heavy palm slap.
  • Counter: Standard melee combo. Dodge backward or parry if your character allows it.

📝 Summary for Rovers

To defeat the Reactor Husk, remember:

  1. Target the Left Arm when the weak point appears.
  2. Deflect the Cinder Cut: Treat the flying claws like a game of tennis—hit them back!
  3. Use Tunability: Utilize the new Off-Tune and Tune Break mechanics to maximize your damage windows.

Good luck in the Exospine Barrows, and enjoy your new Echo!
