1. Drive Discs: Penetration or Physical DMG?

The choice for Slot 5 is often debated. Here is the breakdown:

• Verdict: Prioritize Physical DMG Bonus.

• Analysis:

  • At Mindscape Cinema 0 (M0): While Penetration Ratio offers a mathematically higher return, the difference is negligible (around 1%). You should choose the disc with better substats.

  • At Mindscape Cinema 1 (M1): Ye Shunguang’s M1 "Dream Self" grants her extra Defense Ignore (20%) during her Core Passive's Hedao state. This causes the Penetration Ratio stat to suffer from diminishing returns, making Physical DMG Bonus the superior choice.

Set Recommendations:

• 4-Piece: White Water Ballad

  • A new set tailored for characters with Ether Veil mechanics, significantly boosting CRIT Rate and ATK.

• 2-Piece: Branch & Blade Song

  • Effect: CRIT DMG +16%.

  • Efficiency: This set drops from the same routine cleanup as Astral Voice , making it highly resin-efficient compared to older sets like Puffer Electro .

2. W-Engine (Weapon) Rankings

In Version 2.5, the power gap between the signature weapon and alternatives is significant.

1. Cloudcleave Radiance (100% Performance)

   • Signature Weapon. Its effect, Jade Soul, Frozen Heart, is tailor-made for her kit, offering massive Physical RES Ignore and boosting DMG/CRIT DMG when activating an Ether Veil.

2. The Brimstone [R5] (90% Performance)

   • A strong contender if fully refined, but subject to dilution from environment buffs.

3. Heartstring Nocturne (82% Performance)

   • Evelyn’s signature weapon. While the stats are good, Ye Shunguang already gains massive CRIT Rate from her passives and the "White Water Ballad" set, making this weapon prone to over-capping CRIT.

4. The Brimstone [R1] (80% Performance)

5. Marcato Desire (70% Performance)

Advice: If you can afford it, go for Cloudcleave Radiance. The visual effects alone are worth it, and the damage boost is unmatched.

3. Skill Priority

Maximize your damage by investing resources in this order:

1. Top Priority: Basic Attack & Special Attack (Core damage sources—max these out).

2. High Priority: Ultimate (Level 11 or 12 is sufficient).

3. Low Priority: Dodge & Assist (Level 6-9 is enough).

4. Bangboo Recommendations: Why Not "Sprout"?

Surprisingly, Ye Shunguang’s faction Bangboo, Sprout, is not the best recommendation.

• Sprout

  • While its Active Skill "Six-Star Flight" summons swords, it builds up Physical Anomaly Buildup. This doesn't fully sync with Ye Shunguang's special Qingming Sword Force mechanics or her direct damage focus.

• Best Choice: Snap

  • Why: Its Active Skill "Snap! Look at the Camera!" consumes Film to take a snapshot when an Agent triggers a Dodge Counter or Assist, applying the Superstar status (increasing DMG for 10s). Since Ye Shunguang is saturated with CRIT stats, Snap’s raw DMG Bonus multiplier is extremely valuable (approx. 3% overall team gain at 5-stars).

• Alternative: Booressure

  • Why: Excellent for Energy regeneration via its Active Skill "Ether Bubble." This is vital for the entire team. Ye Shunguang needs Energy for the Enlightened Mind state, and Dialyn needs it for her Positive Reviews. Crucially, Zhao needs Energy to frequent activate her Ether Veil, which directly triggers Ye Shunguang’s Additional Ability to generate Qingming Sword Force (or stacks of Bearer if already transformed).

5. Best Team Compositions

1. The Meta Team: Ye Shunguang + Dialyn + Zhao This team offers stability.

• Dialyn: Utilizing her Core Passive "Five-Star Service Hotline," she can upgrade the next character's Chain Attack into an Ultimate, significantly increasing burst damage.

• Zhao: Activates "Ether Veil: Wellspring" to provide a safe output environment and buffs.

2. The Burst/Synchro Team: Ye Shunguang + Seed + Zhao This is personally my favorite setup for maximum damage output.

• Seed's Synergy: Her Core Passive "Flower Chain Protocol" treats Ye Shunguang as the "Main Force," granting her ATK and 15% CRIT DMG.

• Energy Battery: Seed's Additional Ability "Surprise Attack" restores Energy to Ye Shunguang, speeding up her transformation.

• Dual Carry: Seed deals significant off-field or quick-swap damage using her Steel Charge mechanics, allowing for a "Synchro" playstyle that fills Ye Shunguang’s downtime.

3. F2P Friendly: Ye Shunguang + Nicole + Zhao If you lack limited characters, Nicole remains a top-tier support for her defense shred and gathering capabilities. Just manage your rotations carefully while saving Polychromes for future dedicated supports!
