Location and How to Unlock

The entrance to challenge Sigillum is located at the Gate of the Lost Star in Tidelost Forest, within the Roya Frostlands - Frostlands Surface.

• Standard Unlock: After completing Chapter 3, Act 3 of the Main Story, the entrance will naturally appear on your map.

• Early Access: If you haven't progressed through the main story, you can access the fight early via the "Weekly Challenge " in the Guidebook, or by manually exploring Tidelost Forest to find the portal.

Core Combat Mechanics and Strategies

Sigillum is a boss that prefers to keep its distance and launch attacks from the air. Mastering the following three mechanics is the key to victory:

Core Mechanic: Off Course

This is the most crucial method for defeating Sigillum. When hit by an Echo Skill, the boss gains a stack of the "Off Course" status effect.

• Each stack increases the damage the boss takes by 10%, stacking up to 5 times.

• Note: Only Echoes with "unique names" can add stacks. During combat, make sure to frequently swap characters and use different Echo Skills to maintain the maximum 50% damage boost.

  

Tune Break and Countering

Keep an eye on the meter to the left of the boss's HP bar. Actively use skills with Tune Break capabilities to attack the glowing boss; this will quickly break its gauge and stun it. Additionally, many of Sigillum's diving attacks can be countered to interrupt its combo strings.

Character Recommendations: Leverage Aerial and Gap-Closing Abilities

Since Sigillum frequently flies far away, it is recommended to include characters with strong aerial mobility or gap-closing skills in your team. For example, the new Version 3.1 character Aemeath can use her flexible aerial modules to quickly close the distance and ensure uninterrupted damage output.

Key Skills Breakdown and Evasion Guide

Sigillum features wide-reaching, multi-hit attacks. Here is how to deal with its most threatening moves:

• Sword Dive Bomb: The boss transforms its weapon into light wings, flies into the sky, turns into a giant sword, and drops from a spatial rift to smash the ground, releasing AoE shockwaves. Countermeasure: The closer you are to the center, the higher the damage. When you see the rift appear in the sky, dodge early or get as far away from the impact zone as possible.

  

• Swoop Attack and Halo Counter: The boss forms massive light wings and swoops at the character 3 times, firing a beam at the end. Countermeasure: Focus on dodging during the swoops. When the halo appears upon its landing, seize the moment to counter.

  

• Sword Throw Combo: This is an extremely long combo that includes spinning and throwing the sword, firing light cannons, summoning tracking light swords in the air, and finishing with a plunging slash. Countermeasure: With so many hits, facetanking is not an option; keep a steady rhythm and dodge continuously.

  

• Three-Hit Slash Series: Includes horizontal slashes, upward strikes, or thrusts accompanied by light effects. Countermeasure: The animations are relatively predictable. Watch for the wind-up and dodge to the sides.

  

• Light Curtain and Tracking Missiles: The boss ascends, deploying a light curtain to fire a barrage of beams or tracking missiles. Countermeasure: Maintain lateral sprints or continuous dodges to evade the bullet hell.

Deep Lore: The Origins of Sigillum

Sigillum is not just a mere monster; its existence is deeply intertwined with Rover. As revealed in "The Star That Voyages Far" quest, Sigillum was unintentionally created by Aemeath within Aleph-1's Voidspace. Aemeath crossed time and space to witness the past when Rover first came to Solaris, and the profound sorrow of Rover being cut off and isolated by their own people.

As Rover's adopted daughter, Aemeath internalized this sadness. The Rover's frequency that she carried was corrupted by Voidmatter, ultimately giving birth to Sigillum—a voidspawn bearing Rover's exact likeness. Driven by instinct, Sigillum continuously absorbed Rover's frequency to gain consciousness. Its ultimate goal is to seize the Exostrider's core currently in Rover's possession. With it, Sigillum intends to control the Stridergate and fulfill Rover's deepest, hidden desire: to return home.
