New Agent Analysis: Ice Anomaly Core and Physical Rupture Burst DPS

Version 2.8 introduces two new S-Rank Agents with very different roles. Before pulling, you need to understand what each Agent actually brings to your account.

微信图片_20260428144221_1093_12.png

Promeia — S-Rank Ice Anomaly

Promeia is the main highlight of Version 2.8. She is positioned as a powerful Ice Anomaly DPS and a major upgrade for Ice Anomaly and Disorder-focused teams.

Core Role

Promeia is an Ice Anomaly main DPS built around Freeze, Ice Anomaly buildup, and burst windows. She provides stable on-field damage while also improving the team’s Anomaly-based output, making her a strong core for Disorder teams.

Key Strengths

Promeia has a smooth combat loop, strong control, and reliable damage. She is not overly difficult to play, which makes her friendly for newer players while still valuable for endgame content.

She also pairs well with Anomaly-focused teammates such as Vivian, giving her solid team flexibility for story progression, daily farming, and high-difficulty stages.

Signature W-Engine

Her signature S-Rank Anomaly W-Engine, Crescent Frostblade, is designed around her damage mechanics. If you already decide to pull Promeia and have enough resources, her W-Engine is a strong follow-up investment.

Starlight Billy — S-Rank Physical Rupture

Starlight Billy is the upgraded SP version of Billy, featuring a high-energy hero style with motorcycle rush attacks, knight-style flying kicks, and explosive burst damage.

Core Role

Starlight Billy is a Physical Rupture burst DPS who relies on high-frequency gap-closing attacks and Ultimate damage to deliver heavy burst. He is especially valuable for players building around the Rupture system.

Key Strengths

Starlight Billy performs well in both single-target and multi-target scenarios. His automatic guard mechanic also gives him better survivability than many pure burst damage dealers.

When paired with proper Rupture supports, he can quickly melt bosses and perform very well in endgame stages.

Signature W-Engine

His signature S-Rank Rupture W-Engine, Radiant Knight Mask, maximizes his burst potential. Players chasing higher damage ceilings can consider pulling it after securing the Agent.

Pull Recommendations for New Agents

New Players / Early-Game Players

Prioritize Promeia. She is a stable Ice DPS with strong utility, easy handling, and broad team compatibility. She helps with story, farming, and general progression.

Starlight Billy can be delayed unless your account badly needs a Physical burst DPS.

Mid-Spender / Progression-Focused Players

Pull Promeia at M0 first. She already works well at base copy and is highly valuable for Ice Anomaly and Disorder teams.

If you want to push her ceiling, consider M1. Starlight Billy is a good pickup if your account lacks Physical burst damage and already has the right support setup.

For players preparing extra pulls, a small ZZZ top up can be reasonable here if it helps you secure Promeia or complete your Rupture team, but avoid spending just to chase every banner at once.

High-Spender / Max-Investment Players

Pull Promeia and Starlight Billy with M1 + signature W-Engine if you want full coverage across multiple team archetypes. Promeia improves Ice Anomaly consistency, while Starlight Billy raises your Physical Rupture burst ceiling.

Waifu / Husbando / Style Players

Pull who you like. Promeia’s elegant, icy design and Starlight Billy’s flashy motorcycle combat style both have strong appeal. If design and animation matter most to you, both are worth considering.

Rerun Agent Analysis: High-Value Supports and Team Specialists

Version 2.8 also brings back two S-Rank Agents: Lucia and Orphie & Magus. Both have clear team roles, but their pull value depends heavily on your current roster.

Lucia — S-Rank Ether Support

Lucia is one of the most important rerun targets in Version 2.8. For Rupture teams, she is especially valuable.

Core Role

Lucia is an Ether Support who boosts team damage and improves combat flow. She is a key support for Rupture teams and currently has very limited replacement options.

Key Strengths

Lucia works well even at M0. She pairs strongly with Agents such as Yixuan and Starlight Billy, helping them reach much higher damage output.

For both new and veteran players, Lucia is one of the safest support pulls in this version.

Signature W-Engine

Her signature S-Rank Support W-Engine, Dreamforge Hymn, further strengthens her support value. Pull it if you want to maximize her utility.

Orphie & Magus — S-Rank Fire Attack

Orphie & Magus is a key Fire off-field damage dealer for follow-up attack teams. She does not need much field time and works mainly as a background damage and support unit.

Core Role

Orphie & Magus is a Fire Attack Agent focused on off-field follow-up damage. She fits best in follow-up attack teams and can pair well with main DPS units such as Soldier 0 Anby.

Key Strengths

Her biggest advantage is automatic off-field damage. When the front-field Agent attacks, Orphie & Magus can trigger additional follow-up attacks while also providing team buffs.

She can increase overall team damage, help follow-up DPS units ignore part of enemy DEF, and fill the Fire damage slot in follow-up teams.

However, if you do not already play follow-up teams, her value drops sharply.

Signature W-Engine

Her signature S-Rank Attack W-Engine, Blazing Gunfire, improves Energy regeneration and helps trigger more enhanced Special Attacks from the backline. It is useful for maximizing her off-field damage and team utility, though budget players can use other Attack W-Engines instead.

Pull Recommendations for Rerun Agents

New Players / Early-Game Players

Pull Lucia first. A strong universal support makes account progression much smoother.

Orphie & Magus can be skipped unless you specifically need Fire damage or already have a follow-up team core.

Mid-Spender / Progression-Focused Players

Pull Lucia at M0. She is highly important for Rupture teams and remains useful across multiple lineups.

Orphie & Magus is optional. If you already have a complete Fire or follow-up team, you can skip her.

High-Spender / Max-Investment Players

Lucia can be pushed to M1 + signature W-Engine for stronger support performance.

Orphie & Magus is mainly recommended for collectors, Fire team fans, or players fully invested in follow-up attack teams. For general account strength, her priority is lower.

Collection / Character-Focused Players

If you like the character, pull. From a pure meta perspective, Lucia has much higher account value than Orphie & Magus.

Overall ZZZ 2.8 Pull Priority

微信图片_20260428151550_1098_12.png

For most players, the general pull priority is:

Promeia > Lucia > Starlight Billy > Orphie & Magus

This can change depending on your account, but it is the safest order for overall value.

Best Pull Plan by Budget

F2P / Low-Spender Players

Focus on Promeia + Lucia. This gives you a strong Ice Anomaly DPS and a high-value support, covering more content with fewer resources.

Mid-Spender Players

Pull both new S-Rank Agents if possible, then prioritize Lucia from the rerun banners. Starlight Billy becomes much stronger when paired with Lucia, making this a clean Rupture team foundation.

Heavy Spenders / Collectors

Pull all Agents and their signature W-Engines. You can also pick up the new Hoshimi Miyabi outfit to complete the Version 2.8 collection.

If you are planning to grab the skin and still save pulls for future banners, many players prepare early with a ZZZ Top Up strategy so they can manage both cosmetics and upcoming Agents efficiently.

Final Verdict: Who Should You Pull in ZZZ 2.8?

Version 2.8 does not have an obvious “bad” banner, but the best choice depends on your roster and budget.

If you want the safest account upgrade, pull Promeia first.
If you need a powerful support, pull Lucia.
If you are building Rupture teams, pull Starlight Billy.
If you already play follow-up attack teams, consider Orphie & Magus.

Choose based on your team gaps, not just banner hype. Good luck, Proxies — may your next Signal Search bring the Agent you want.

FAQ

Q1: If F2P players can only choose one new Agent and one rerun Agent, who should they pull?

Choose Promeia + Lucia. Promeia fills the Ice Anomaly DPS role, while Lucia provides strong team support and works especially well with Rupture teams. Together, they offer much better account value than most other combinations.

Q2: For new players, should I pull Starlight Billy or Promeia first?

Pull Promeia first. She is easier to use, more flexible, and better for story progression and daily farming. Starlight Billy depends more on Rupture support, especially Lucia, so new players may struggle to unlock his full potential early.

Q3: Is Orphie & Magus worth pulling without a follow-up DPS?

Usually no. Her main value comes from off-field Fire follow-up damage and team buffs for follow-up attack teams. Without a core follow-up DPS such as Soldier 0 Anby, she will be harder to use effectively.
