I. How Many Pulls Can Each Type of Player Save in Version 2.7?

微信图片_20260317145143_798_12.png

The foundation of any pull plan is understanding your resource floor. Version 2.7 runs from March 24 to May 5, and the total number of free and paid pulls available to each player type is already fairly clear. Overall, the patch gives enough resources to guarantee one S-Rank at M0, but if you want both Mindscapes and signature W-Engines, you will need to make very careful choices:

  • F2P players: around 95–96 pulls total, just enough to reach the hard pity range, which is only enough for one desired S-Rank at M0;

  • Monthly Pass players: around 119–121 pulls total, enough to aim for one character at M0 + signature W-Engine, or two characters at M0;

  • Monthly Pass + Battle Pass players: around 128–130 pulls total, enough to secure one M0 character, with some room to try for a signature W-Engine or an important Mindscape;

  • Mid spenders / whales: can pull according to team needs and invest into Mindscapes and signature W-Engines without being heavily restricted by base pull count.

At the same time, keep this in mind: Version 3.0 is expected to feature SP Billy plus three new characters, so every type of player should reserve enough Polychromes for what comes next. Do not go all-in during Version 2.7.

II. Banner Analysis: Who Is Worth Pulling? Who Is a Trap?

The Version 2.7 banners are split into two halves. The first half (3/24–4/15) features Nangong Yu with a Yidhari rerun, while the second half (4/15–5/5) features Cissia with a Seed rerun. All four characters fit into different archetypes, and their pull value varies significantly depending on your account. Chasing hype without understanding their actual role is the fastest way to waste resources, so let’s first break down their core functions and ideal use cases.

Nangong Yu (Phase 1 UP · S-Rank Ether Stun): A must-pull for Anomaly teams, and one of the strongest units in the patch

微信图片_20260323140711_838_12.png

As Zenless Zone Zero’s first dedicated Stun Agent designed specifically for Anomaly teams, Nangong Yu is a quick-swap Stun unit who combines Anomaly buildup, fast Daze application, and support utility through effects like Disorder amplification and polarity disruption. She is an all-rounder who can both deal meaningful value herself and greatly buff the team. Her biggest strength is that she fits perfectly into the two current mainstream Anomaly teams built around Alice and Miyabi. In Alice teams, she fills the missing core Stun slot and massively boosts burst windows during enemy stun; in Miyabi teams, she can provide enough value on her own to effectively replace the role compression previously handled by both Lycaon and Soukaku, helping Void Hunter-style teams rise again.

Mindscape / signature W-Engine priority: M0W0 > M0W1 > M2W1 > M6W1. At M0W0, she already unlocks her core mechanics and feels excellent to play. Her signature W-Engine offers strong value through better Anomaly control and teamwide damage amplification, making it a highly efficient upgrade. M2 is her key breakpoint, significantly increasing Disorder damage and stun vulnerability. M6 is whale-only territory, offering full-spectrum upgrades to stun speed and Disorder frequency, and is not something regular players need to think about.

Yidhari (Phase 1 Rerun · S-Rank Ice Rupture): Pullable for newer players, skippable for veterans

微信图片_20260323141102_841_12.png

Yidhari is still strong in the current version, but her rerun timing has very poor value. On one hand, the number of Rupture-favored enemies is likely to drop noticeably in Version 3.0, reducing the demand for Rupture teams. On the other hand, players who already own Yixuan do not need to invest in a second Rupture DPS. She is only recommended for newer players in Version 2.7 who do not yet have a strong main carry, since she can help them build a low-investment Rupture team and get through early progression more smoothly. If you already own Yidhari at M0W1, you may consider going for M1, since her first Mindscape is one of the better upgrades in the cast. Otherwise, veteran players should skip her outright.

Cissia (Phase 2 UP · S-Rank Electric Attack): A Seed-exclusive pick; everyone else should stay cautious

微信图片_20260323140833_840_12.png

Cissia is essentially a dedicated sub-DPS built specifically for Seed teams. She can provide teamwide DEF Ignore for Seed and unlock the Veil-related mechanics that significantly improve the team’s output, fully solving the old compatibility problems that made earlier alternatives feel awkward. This gives Seed teams much better performance against high-defense bosses. However, outside of Seed teams, Cissia offers very little value. For other Electric DPS options like Anby or Harumasa, pulling her is largely pointless. And if you are trying to build a Seed team from scratch, the investment cost is simply too high, making her a very poor pickup for most accounts.

Seed (Phase 2 Rerun · S-Rank Electric Attack): Veterans can consider Mindscapes, new players should think twice

微信图片_20260323141132_842_12.png

Seed is still a decent character in the current version, but his overall performance is only average. Many players already sank resources into earlier team setups that did not age particularly well, and even with Cissia as a new upgrade, the cost of building him from zero still outweighs the returns. He is only recommended for veteran players who already own Seed at M0W1 and want to go for M1 to improve gameplay feel. For everyone else, this rerun should be skipped, and those Polychromes are better saved for more important future units.

III. Precise Pull Plans for Four Types of Players

微信图片_20260323142330_843_12.png

Taking into account character strength, total available pulls, and the looming pressure of Version 3.0, here is a tailored pull plan for F2P players, Monthly Pass players, Monthly Pass + Battle Pass / mid spenders, and whales — balancing current account strength with future patch planning.

F2P players: Go all in on one target, and that target should be Nangong Yu at M0

F2P players only have around 95 pulls, which is basically just enough for one pity cycle. That means the only realistic choice is Nangong Yu at M0, with no room to seriously consider anyone else.

  • If you mainly play Alice or Miyabi Anomaly teams: she is a must-pull, because Nangong Yu is a true core piece and gives those teams a major jump in power;

  • If you play other team archetypes: you can still pull based on personal preference, but Nangong Yu should remain the priority due to her stronger overall value and broader future team potential.

Monthly Pass players: Secure Nangong Yu M0W1 and do not touch the rest

With around 120 pulls, Monthly Pass players sit in the highest-value bracket for Version 2.7. The ideal target is Nangong Yu at M0W1 — one copy plus her signature W-Engine. This is essentially her complete low-investment build, and once you have it, both her personal output and support value feel fully online.

Monthly Pass + Battle Pass / mid spenders: Aim for Nangong Yu M2W1, then only patch your existing archetypes

Players in this bracket have around 130 pulls, giving them a little more freedom beyond M0W1. Mid spenders in particular can aim directly for Nangong Yu M2W1, which is the best balance between power and efficiency.

  • Core target: Nangong Yu M2W1, since M2 is the breakpoint that unlocks her true spike in offensive value;

  • Archetype-based side pulls: only veteran Seed players should consider picking up Cissia at M0. All other accounts should skip the rest of the banner;

  • Polychrome reserve rule: always keep at least 50 pulls in reserve for Version 3.0 instead of completely draining your resources.

Whales: Max out Nangong Yu at M6W1 and fill in the rest according to team needs

Whales do not have to worry about pull count and can go straight for Nangong Yu M6W1 if they want her absolute peak performance. After that, they can invest in additional units according to their own roster needs without worrying about resource efficiency. Even so, it is still worth keeping the overall patch cycle in mind and not overspending on low-priority reruns just because they are available.

Final Reminder: Three Pulling Rules to Avoid Wasting Your Polychromes

1. Do not follow the hype — only pull within your own archetype.
Nangong Yu is extremely strong, but if you do not play Anomaly teams, you can still choose based on preference instead of blindly following meta talk. As for Cissia and Seed, both are highly archetype-dependent, and pulling them outside their intended teams is almost guaranteed to waste resources.

2. Always save enough Polychromes for Version 3.0.
Version 2.7 is only a transition patch. Version 3.0 is expected to introduce several new characters, so every player should set aside at least 50 pulls and avoid dumping everything into this patch.

3. Be very careful with reruns.
Neither Yidhari nor Seed is a must-pull rerun. Veteran players should avoid both without hesitation. Newer players should only consider Yidhari if they truly lack a proper main DPS. Do not waste pity on reruns unless your account genuinely needs them.

The true centerpiece of Version 2.7 is Nangong Yu. As the leader of the Angels of Delusion, she not only completes the final missing piece of the Anomaly team puzzle, but also stands at the very top of this patch’s power curve. As long as you identify your player type clearly, lock in the right target, and avoid the obvious traps, you can get maximum value out of every Polychrome you spend. Wishing every Proxy a double S-Rank in ten pulls and an easy path to their dream pick.
